FAMILY FEES
Most of the work undertaken in this area of law will be billed on a time-spent basis charged at rates according to the seniority and experience of the staff involved. The rates charged by our family law experts range from £265 to £325 plus VAT per hour.
At the outset of a matter, we will provide you with our best estimate of the likely fees involved but by their nature family matters and the circumstances surrounding them are all very different so we will keep you informed as the case progresses if we need to change our estimate.
We believe it is extremely important to try to assess for you the relationship between the cost of taking legal action and the benefit which is likely to be achieved. If we think at any point that the likely outcome of a matter does not justify the expense or risk involved (including the risk of having to pay costs to an opponent) we will tell you immediately and help you make an informed decision on how to proceed.
