Meet the Family Team
Amanda is a specialist family solicitor with many years of experience. She is keen to help clients find a practical and fair resolution to their issues – avoiding court proceedings where possible.
Amanda is a trained Collaborative Lawyer, which enables her to offer the collaborative approach to her clients – essentially using round table meetings to negotiate settlements rather than litigate matters through the court.
As a member of Resolution, Amanda agrees to conduct family cases in a reasonable and responsible manner, but will not hesitate to use emergency court action if needed to protect a client’s position.
Amanda is on the SRA Family Law Panel and the Hertfordshire Law Society Council. She also helped to set up both the Hertfordshire Collaborative Pod (a collection of lawyers, IFAs and family counsellors who want to help clients resolve family and relationship issues in a dignified way), and the Hertfordshire branch of Resolution.
When not advising clients Amanda enjoys travel, making jam and bell-ringing….just don’t call her a campanologist !
Vijaya is wholeheartedly committed to getting the best results for her clients while preserving vital family relationships. She is exposed to a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds.
She has a wealth of knowledge over a broad range of matrimonial proceedings relating to divorce and financial disputes involving complex issues and high net-worth clients; separation and cohabitation disputes; and private children law proceedings. Her great strength lies in issues of wealth preservation and family assets, particularly via pre and post nuptial agreements.
Vijaya tackles the unique subject matter of each case with a creative approach. She is equally comfortable with pragmatic negotiation or an adversarial approach as required. Vijaya is a member of Resolution (formerly the SFLA) and a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel.
Away from the office, Vijaya can often be seen chauffeuring her eight year old daughter; she also enjoys travel and music.
