Curwens LLP and SL Law announce merger

ENFIELD, 4th October 2016 – Curwens, Solicitors, the Enfield, Hoddesdon and Royston based business, property, private client and litigation specialists, and SL Law, the Barnet and Potters Bar based niche company commercial law firm, are pleased to announce that they have merged with effect of 1 October 2016. Commenting on the announcement, the Senior Partner of Curwens, Peter Poole said that the merger offered both firms the opportunity to grow and further develop the range of services offered to clients. Peter said that “Curwens had been providing business and personal legal services to the local community for over 100 years.” “SL Law is a perfect merger partner for a practice like Curwens,” he said. “There is an obvious synergy in terms of the work each firm does, the clients we represent, and also in the desire we have to offer the highest levels of client service”. SL Law Limited was founded in 2010 by Spencer Laymond. The firm specialises in business law including mergers and acquisitions, partnership and joint venture agreements, terms of business, agency and distribution agreements and intellectual property licensing.  Spencer said that the merger with Curwens would bring together two like-minded businesses to ensure the continuing growth and development of the businesses for the long term. “I consider that the merger with Curwens, a local and long established firm, with a sharp commercial focus, will give us the opportunity to do this,” he said.  ”We are very excited about the future”. sl-colour         Spencer Laymond
