Christopher Wright

Chris Wright is head of Curwens' Advocacy Department.He was admitted in 1975 and has over 30 years experience in this specialist field. He is now a full time Consultant and was previously a partner of Curwens for 20 years. He is a Solicitor Advocate of the Higher Court (Criminal) with over 30 years experience.

His specialist areas include:

1. Advice and representation defending Road Traffic prosecutions and criminal proceedings(non legal aid), especially "white collar" Regulatory,Trading Standards,Health and Safety.
2. Military law and Courts Martials in the UK and abroad including SIB (special investigation branch) interviews. (Recent cases include a major trial arising from Operation Telic Iraq). Member of "Forces Law".
3. Medico-legal work in the context of Mental Health Review Tribunals. (Member of Law Society Panel for 25 years and MHRT member).
4. Professional disciplinary hearings, Coroner's Inquest representation and other advocacy services.
