Chris is head of Curwens’ Advocacy Department.He was admitted in 1975 and has over 30 years experience in this specialist field. He is now a full time Consultant and was previously a partner of Curwens for 20 years. He is a Solicitor Advocate of the Higher Court (Criminal) with over 30 years experience.
His specialist areas include:
- Advice and representation defending Road Traffic prosecutions and criminal proceedings(non legal aid), especially "white collar" Regulatory,Trading Standards,Health and Safety.
- Military law and Courts Martials in the UK and abroad including SIB (special investigation branch) interviews. (Recent cases include a major trial arising from Operation Telic Iraq). Member of "Forces Law".
- Medico-legal work in the context of Mental Health Review Tribunals. (Member of Law Society Panel for 25 years and MHRT member).
- Professional disciplinary hearings, Coroner's Inquest representation and other advocacy services.
