Alan is Head of Litigation at Curwens. As a top European Insurance Litigator with almost thirty years experience in the insurance market, he has achieved an enviable reputation within the UK and European Insurance sector. Alan deals with claims for major personal injury cases – including fatal accidents and catastrophic injury – coverage and transactional issues and he and his team act for some of Europe’s major insurers. He is a member of ERA (the Academy of European Law) and is regularly invited to give lectures to European Insurers on the workings of the English legal system.
In his spare time, Alan is Chair of Governors at a local school and his other interests include the performing arts.

Norma is a Partner in the Litigation Department based at the Enfield office. She has over 20 years experience in Litigation specialising in Commercial, Insolvency and Personal Injury litigation in the High Court and County Courts. Her practice also includes Contentious Probate cases, involving disputes regarding Wills.
She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), the Association of Women Solicitors and she is also a Board Director of the North London Chamber of Commerce with particular responsibility for networking events. She sits as a member of the University of Hertfordshire School of Law Professional Advisory Committee.
Norma gets involved with many local projects and is also a volunteer supporter of the Nightingale Community Hospice Trust, a charity for the people of Enfield supporting those living with Cancer. She is particularly involved in Fundraising and Publicity. Apart from that, she spends any spare time with her family, enjoys walking in the Peak District and is a member of the Sherlock Holmes Society.

Joe graduated with 2.1 honours in law from Queen Mary University in 2005 and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course a year later.
Since then he has spent time as a paralegal including working in a private bank in the Channel Islands and more recently, in the corporate department of a west end law firm.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys playing football and electric guitar, as well as going to live concerts.

Raveena is a Trainee Solicitor at Curwens. She is currently positioned in the Litigation Team.
Raveena previously worked as a paralegal in a provincial firm, specialising in personal injury work. Prior to that she achieved a masters in European Studies (merit) and a 2:1 LLB Honours Degree.
In her spare time, Raveena enjoys travelling and has been in Amsterdam, Kenya, India, Brussels, Thailand and Hong Kong in the last 2 years. She also enjoys running for charity and indian dance, having recently taken up lessons and hopes to start salsa in the near future.

Tom joined Curwens as a trainee in September 2008, starting in the Commercial Litigation team.
Tom graduated from Homerton College, University of Cambridge, in 2006 where he studied Biological and Biomedical Sciences specialising in Virology and Immunology. He has since completed both the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, in Bloomsbury, gaining a Commendation and Distinction respectively.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys swimming, the cinema and live music. He is also a keen skier.

Ruth graduated in Law from the University of Kent before studying for the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Bloomsbury. She joined Curwens as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2008, and is currently based in the litigation department.
In her spare time, Ruth enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and particularly likes to return to the Isle of Wight, where she grew up. Ruth enjoys travelling, and has lived and worked in France previously.
