Our Probate and Trust specialists provide expert advice to all generations, guiding you through taxation pitfalls by careful inheritance tax advice and planning.
We advise all our clients to prepare their Will. Family assets and the security of your dependents need to be protected as you need to be sure that your loved ones receive the inheritance that you have worked so hard for. No matter how modest, extensive or complex your financial and family matters, your assets should be arranged in the most tax-efficient way in order to provide an income for you and your spouse in retirement and, when you decide, be passed on to your heirs without undue taxation or delay.
We can do this for you. We will identify and put into place tax saving opportunities for your business and family transactions. However, illness may mean you can no longer manage your business or family affairs as you would wish. We can make sure you have in place the necessary documentation to transfer control to a trusted friend or relative (or more than one person) who will manage your affairs for your benefit and that of your dependents. If it is too late to plan ahead in this way because those for whom you care are no longer able to take such decisions, we can still help you using the provisions of the Court of Protection.
