Rob Pearson qualified in October 1980 and has been a partner in Curwens since 1987. Having many years of experience in a broad range of litigation work including family law, he now concentrates on three areas in particular: landlord and tenant litigation, other property litigation (notably boundary disputes) and negligence cases against solicitors, usually in relation to property issues. Rob has given talks on various issues involved in such cases.

In the commercial field, Rob regularly acts for both landlords and tenants in connection with such matters as forfeiture of commercial leases, dilapidations claims, and lease renewals.

In the residential field, Rob deals with possession claims for landlords, and lease extension and enfranchisement claims for tenants or groups of tenants.

Away from the office, Rob loves to watch rugby and cricket, to go walking in his native Hertfordshire or further afield, and is an avid reader of detective fiction. He is also fascinated by the First World War, and has given talks on it, as well as acting as a guide to small groups on visits to the battlefields of France and Belgium.

Geoffrey is a leading commercial and civil litigator, with over 30 years experience in his specialist field. Formerly a partner in a major city practice, Geoff has considerable knowledge of the legal expense market and currently heads the firm’s Legal Expense Litigation Team. Within this role, Geoff has acted for insurers dealing with high net worth and high profile cases. In his current position as partner in Curwens his caseload includes:

• Professional negligence

Paul is a former senior partner of Christos Wybrew Solicitors (which merged with Curwens) and has been admitted since 1980. He attended the London School of Economics.
One of Paul’s main attributes is that he has a wealth of experience in several areas of law. His specialism is in civil and commercial litigation. This has given him the ability to understand and empathise with clients and take into account their needs in all their dealings. His style is always to keep clients fully informed and involved in all aspects of their legal affairs.
